It's a move often dreamt of, but rarely completed.

But at just 20 years old former EastEnders star Louisa Lytton has filmed her first Hollywood movie.

The brunette landed a starring role as English exchange student Imogen in the seventh American Pie movie. And while the film may not be expected to set the box office alight, it is a welcome foot in the door for the actress.

Louisa says she got the part after sending the producers of Book Of Love a tape of herself.

'I found out I’d got the part four weeks later, then three days after that I was on a plane,' she told FHM.

'It was crazy. I think originally they wanted a Spanish exchange student, then they were going to make it Canadian, and then they said why don’t we try a Brit?

'Which was cool… for me. Hopefully there’s a new set of 17-year-old boys who will get into it.'

And Louisa said her co-stars were impressed by her CV.

'The cast called me ‘Lytton from Britain’; all they really knew about English TV was The Bill, EastEnders and Strictly…, so they thought I was this massive star.

'They always took the piss out of me asking if there were any paps around and I was thinking, “Seriously, it’s not like that at all. At home, I’m just getting stuff thrown at me in nightclubs!”'

Now Louisa is thinking of moving to LA permanently.

'I could definitely see myself in LA. It’s nicer than Albert Square, I’m afraid.

'I’d love to meet Lindsay Lohan and go partying with her.

'Maybe I’ll have to come back when I’m 21. Though I look so young it’s not even worth it…'
